perfect for making hot chocolate!
I bought this frothing pitcher as a way to make hot chocolate. After reading all the reviews of steamers and the difficulty of getting good results, as well as the apparant exploding danger reported with some of them, I saw this stovetop frother and decided to try it out. It turned out to be a perfect fit. Exactly what I wanted: a way to heat milk without it burning. Turns out the frothing mechanism also blends melted chocolate shavings perfectly. And, the end product is very pretty, too. Great buy!
outstanding frother
I'm truly amazed at the effectiveness of this device. Frothed milk with a meringue-like consistency provides a perfect topping for any coffee beverage. Additionally, frothed cold milk mixed with chocolate powder produces an eminently satisfying milkshake.
Doesn't froth milk
I tried this for a couple of weeks but it just doesn't froth milk as well as the french press i was using which only cost $12! I thought that being able to heat the milk in the frother would be great but this was a big disappointment, especially since it is so expensive. i returned it.
